Rada Cutlery Old Fashioned Butcher Knife – Stainless Steel Blade With Stainless Steel Black Resin Handle, 12-1/8 Inches

Rada claims this blade steel is T420 stainless steel it has a low carbon content i thought it would be impossible to cut 100 plus feet of measured cardboard that adds up to a lot of onions and tomatoes.There is no way Chully Budger was going to cut up onions and tomatoes for 6 months to check out the edge retention.After this ordeal i was able to cut printer paper with a bit of effort without see sawing back and forth It took me about 2 minutes on a buffing wheel to get the knife back to shaving sharp.It is possible Rada has this knife steel made up with a higher carbon content i don't know i was unable to find any info. maybe the carbon content is close or the same as 420 HC and it also could be a secret heat treatment to bring out the very best in the blade steel and then again it could be a Paul Bos heat treatment.

This is my favorite knife. I use it everyday and buy one about once a year. I tried sharpening it but I can't get it sharp enough or to stay sharp and just get another one. Maybe it's me, maybe it's the knife but here I am getting another one because mine couldn't cut a melon tonight. lol

This knife is great! Super sharp which makes cutting raw meats and fish very easy.

I have now owned this knife for about 6 months, and have used it almost daily. I expected to have to sharpen it occasionally, but have not had to yet. I have cut almost every possible food item and packaging you can think of, and it remains as sharp as the day I got it. I take no special care of it, throw it in the dishwasher after every use, and never worry about drying it before it has a chance to rust. (It has NEVER shown signs of rust at all). This is by far the best knife I have ever owned, and I would not think twice about buying another one. I have owned many knifes in my life, and this one is excellent. My next purchase will be for a set of Rada Cutlery products for my tableware.

These are the best knives I have ever used, I am hooked. I replaced all my knives with these and I will never buy anything but rada. All I have left to buy now are the steak knives. Funny thing when I first got these knives for the first time, I opened the package and though great cheap knives. Then my hubby cut a piece of paper with one little swipe. I said umm lets wait and try them.I love that they are smaller, I tell everyone they're like girl chef knives because they fit my hands perfectly. Trust me buy these knives, I tell everyone about these.

My husband does the chopping, and he has arthritis in his hands, now. These knives are very sharp and lightweight. I have several of these knives and love the fact that they sharpen right back to original, with a few strokes on the Rada sharpener. I bought my first Rada knives at a flea market, 25+ years ago. I still have them and use them. I personally think all other knives to be inferior. My husband is now addicted as well.

This knife is great. Very sharp, easy to use and clean. Great value for the money!

Es un cuchillo hecho en Estados Unidos, no en China. Esto ya dice mucho. No es tan grande como se pudiera pensar, sin embargo suficiente para cortar carne, verduras, o cualquier elemento propio de una carne asada. El mango, aunque algo delgado, tiene buen agarre. Si no quieres invertir muchísimo dinero en un cuchillo suizo o alemán, ésta opción es perfecta. Cumplirá perfectamente con lo que se requiere y, esperamos, dure mucho años.

Not the sharpest knife but for the price it is very sharp and sturdy I like it alot . Also light in the hand though but not hard to hold.

Great value for the money

Great knife for carving anything. Holds it's edge and easily sharpened. A couple family members tried and have threatened to steal it. I guess I know what to buy them for Christmas!
