Smaller than it looks but delicious!!!! Also arrived on time and well packaged

First, before the Pandemic I purchased this companys Llindt chocolate cake that was delicious and ticked all the boxes provided you ate small amounts at a time as very rich. As a consequence I later bought another of their cakes - that too was fine. The packaging and delivery service regarding these past orders and this new order were excellent. There is no quibble with that. The cakes arrive frozen and undamaged. All during last year I was unable to buy these cakes so the moment I was able, i.e. this order, I did so. The price had increased quite a bit but that happens in these abnormal times. Now to this cake. It is classified as indulgent and we would say far too indulgent ! You can feed 10 with this one because you only need a finger slice - you cannot eat any more due to it being practically ALL 'buttercream' and extremely little sponge. I think our cake did not turn out of its mould properly as in parts the buttercream was over an inch thick on the edges purely because there was no sponge cake there. Coupled with two layers of buttercream inside as well as the excess of buttercream covering the whole cake. So bad was it that we scraped all the buttercream off the sides and most of the top and threw it away, effectively throwing away over 20.00 worth. Then after having eaten said cake I felt awfully queasy. Then one by one every one else felt either queasy with one person later physically vomitting. All of us were fine until after eating said cake. If the Seller reads these comments then my suggestion would be to make sure that there is a bigger percentage of sponge cake to buttercream or use less buttercream and price the sponges lower, We are adamant that it was the 'buttercream' that brought on our nauseous reaction OR it occured to us afterwards, had the glass jars containing the Nutella and the Nutella chocolate wafer in its packaging been 'sterilised' before being stuck on top of the cake? It was too late to complain after having binned the excess and recovery from the nausea that lasted for several days. Out of the 3 cakes purchased, overall the Lindt white chocolate cake was the best value for money and its presentation too was the best out of all three.

The picture of the Nutella cake clearly shows 2 glass jars on the top of the cake. I was extremely disappointed when it arrived to see it was 2 plastic pouches on the cake which did not look very good and was not what I was expecting or what I thought I was purchasing.

i bought this for my daughter and was so shocked at what it was for shy of £40 i expected a lot more it states 10 portions but tops 5/6 portion not happy at all
