yes powerful but a couple significant issues, "deal breakers."
to begin with i ordered these to put up signs to keep others from dumping trash into our dumpsters. they take and swap out those dumpsters every other week. i needed magnets for the signs so that i could remove then and then put them back up once that is done.these magnets looked like they would do the job. on arrival the first thing i noticed was that the top couple of magnetics were smashed into tiny pieces? so there is no solid metal these are a composite material. they are similar in size to quarters both in diameter and depth. stacked they actually look like a stack of quarters not magnets.but as said some were smashed up. this is where i found how powerful they are. trying to get the broken bits off the rest of the magnets was not an easy task by any means. fyi due to how breakable they are REMEMBER the 6" rule. if you get two of these within 6" of each other they'll literally jump out of your hands to 'grab' each other. no wonder they put small plastic dividers between them so you can pull them apart.therein lies another problem. they do not come with adhesive already applied to the backs. instead they send some generic looking round glue tabs. even after letting these sit for awhile before putting up the magnets are far too strong for the adhesive to hold up when the item is removed. at most i was able to lift the sign off once before the magnets ripped off the glue tabs. simply not a good design for magnets intended to be removed with whatever they are attached to.the magnets that did make it unbroken cannot be used for their intended purpose all due to the glue/sticky tabs not holding up. so between the fragile nature of these and the lack of adhesion with the glue/sticky portion i can't recommend these. they are amazingly strong magnets but with two too many flaws for me. they might well work out for others which is why i gave them a three star rating and not two.FYI amazon customer service as usual was great. i let them know about the broken magnets and the issue was resolved in under five minutes. i appreciate that very much!

damn near broke my finger!
Bought 20. Received today...and I'm returning them. YES, they are super strong....SO strong that you can't get them apart to use. They have a nice plastic O ring between them but it's not strong enough to help pry them apart. When I finally slid them apart enough to grab an edge, it snapped back into the stack and damn near took the top of my finger with it - THAT STUNG for quite a while and will probably leave a bruise under the nail tomorrow. My husband tried to get them apart, it pinched his finger between them and left a blood blister! On his second attempt the magnet BROKE into 3 pieces. These things are VERY DANGEROUS!!I do not recommend these at all....unless you want to throw the stack of them at someone. They're heavy!

I wanted a strong magnet and these definitely are! They are hard to get apart and I broke one in the process. They come with spacers but somehow all the spacers worked their way out before I could get the magnets apart. TIP: I finally discovered that if I set them on the ground and lay a popsicle stick along side of them I could slide the magnets off a little easier. Be careful because if you don't pull that magnet away quickly, it snaps right back onto the stack which is how one of them broke (from the force of the snapback) and the broken edges are sharp which cut me.

Magnets work well, but stronger than adhesive they come with
The magnets worked great (used them when I made magnetic spice jars) and was pleasantly surprised to find out they came with their own 3M adhesive pads. The only minor downside was that the magnets were stronger than the adhesive pads, so the magnets stayed on the fridge but the jars and adhesive pads slowly detached. I fixed this particular issue by reapplying the magnets inside the jar lids instead of outside. But if you don't have the option to put the magnet on the inside of whatever you're sticking it to, I would suggest using a stronger adhesive.

Sticky
I have purchased these things before. So I pretty much knew what I was getting. I’m using them for a kind of unusual purpose. See, I have these little stand up trash containers in three of my vehicles. I put them on the floor in the front seat area. But I don’t like them falling over and spilling all the crap out onto the floor. So I take one of these and stick it in the bottom of the container and another one I stick to the floor mat. Boom. Trash container stays in place. They are pretty strong for the size. Cheap enough. Can’t really find anything to fault them on.I’ll be buying again at some pointThanks for reading

Cautious Fun.
These things are fun!!! But be very careful as they are powerful and can pinch the ceap out of your fingers. Slip one or two in someone's pocket without them knowing and capture the moments in a good video as they stick to something metal. Caution: these magnets will jump about 4 inches when they get near other magnets!!!!!!!!!

Not strong, not N52 grade
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. These are definitely not N52 grade neodymium magnets, but they are neodymium magnets, possibly a lower grade. They do not hold as strong as N52 magnets I have used in the past. I doubled them up and put 2 of them on one side of my fingers, 2 on the other side, and they barely hold together. For the size of these, and doubling them up, they should almost be breaking the bones in my finger if they were N52 grade. I tried with a smaller N52 magnet of a different brand, and although the smaller magnet was 1/8th the size, it was much stronger than these larger magnets. With that said, these magnets do seem more durable than your typical neodymium magnet, so I decided to keep them.

Powerful
Very strong. I just received so haven't put to use. I tried to slide one magnet off the stack and could see it was going to take a little time. Magnets are separated by a plastic layer. I have yet to add an adhesive pad to one of the magnets. Just to quickly test how well the stack stuck, I applied to a round metal card table leg and the magnets stuck easily. I will be careful placing magnets near electronics, credit cards, and watches.
