If the cable is round, or can be squeezed to be round, then yes. The connectors are not 100% waterproof, so just be careful.

Q: Will this from a leak proof seal around the electrical pump cord run through the side of a bucket so the water does not leak out around the hole?

Probably not threads strip to easy it might hold if u use 2 part epoxy

About 1/8", if you want the nut to have full engagement on the threads

Hi Kelly, don't think this will fit. Here is what I see and measure with caliper on one size from the assortment:: The outside diameter of the threaded male portion of the gland is about 0.82 inch. The thread itself has a RECTANGULAR cross section (like the thread on a large C-clamp) rather than triangular thread. The screw thread pitch is about 13 threads per inch. The square thread width is about 0.035 inch - very skinny and bendable, with wider valleys between threads.
