Spectra Premium Industrial Fuel Tank F6D

My son just bought a 1988 ford f250 diesel and barely made it home because of all the rust and trash in the fuel tank clogged the filter. I thought about cleaning the tank but saw all the rust and junk in the tank I decided to see how much a new tank would cost and wow I was amazed at how cheap this one is and best of all is made in Canada where most good aftermarket fuel tanks are made and not China. This tank fits perfectly now runs and drives like new again. Oh the tank is the same for gas or diesel. Great deal here and would buy again. Hope this helps and thanks.

fits and works just like the old tank. For all I know they were the original suppliers to Ford, it looked exactly like the one that came out. NOS sender went into place and the supplied o-ring and lock ring secured it all in. I hope to never have a fuel delivery problem again.

Got tank delivered very fast, thanks Amazon. Tank came with lock ring and new gasket. Great. Only issue was the sending unit and locking ring would hardly fit, the sending unit outer Dia. was slightly too big to clear the tabs. That was minor, but then the distance allowed for the gasket, sending unit plate and the locking ring was insufficient and caused some issues installing the ring. Then the ring was made a bit small Dia. and took a lot more work to get it seated than it should have, had to get a second pair of hands to hit the ring at the same time from opposite direction to get it to seat. Granted, these are usually a pain in the best of times, but this one the tabs for locking the ring seemed light weight and hope I never need to get in there again as it looks like they will break off. But solved issue with the tank crud and rust leak. Great for price paid.

Installed this about a year ago and still doing great. Old tank was leaking and could constantly smell gas when near truck. New tank installed and no issues. Perfect fit. No issues, quality product.

Perfect fit. Installed easily on an 1987 f-150 with 8' bed. Good quality, packaged well and super fast shipping. Came with new fuel sender ring and gasket.

When I installed the front plastic, the cover did not fit in and it got torn. I add some sealant and tried to finish the installation then if you use the OEM filling neck it will be shorted to the body. You have to work on it to fix it. I am still looking into it how can I fix that.

Slid right in place just wish it would have been coated to protect it better
