Bose ® SoundTouch 20 Series II Wi-Fi Music System - Black

As Always a Bose box that sounds ace, they really are beautiful sounding things. I now have 3, the Soundtouch 20, 30 & 20 Portable. Being able to play the same music through all 3 or separate tunes through each is great, the sound through all 3 is seamless.Setup is easy, just need a little patience for the update process etc, but not much hassle.I've always had separates and still swear by them, having used Linn, Musical Fidelity and Epos equipment for years (Still have it all) but being able to move around the house enjoying beautiful sounds without having to sit between my gorgeous speakers to enjoy great sound is brilliant. Really thought I'd miss the stereo separation, but the Bose do a fine job.Placement is important (particularly with the Soundtouch 30 Beast) but not essential , and now you have Bass control via the app, no problems with the Bose at all.Just need a decent (reliable) broadband connection :)Oh yeah support seems pretty good too (even via email)One last thing, I got into Bose through the Soundlink Mini, a fantastic little thing, truly amazing for its size.

I am in IT support and have tried everything to get this speaker to connect. It does connect but takes for ever and drops after a couple of minutes. I have been on every forum going, but no luck. It's pretty much unusable.Expensive paperweight, but looks nice. Useless as a speaker unless you plug you device directly into it.

I purchased the Bose Soundtouch 20 for my wife as a Christmas present and I have to say it is amazing. It looks fantastic, the sound is the best quality I have ever heard, it is a good manageable size and best of all so easy to download the App and start using. It took 10 minutes and we are technophobes! I can't fault is at all and I am a very critical person, in fact I really wish I had one myself and can't wait for my wife to go out so I can use it! Delivery was also quick even over the Christmas period.11/10

Absolutely love this but the wifi stability needs addressing. I have tried to use the Airplay mode from the MacBook via iTunes to send the music to multiple systems in the house:Bose Soundtouch 20Apple TVApple Airport Express connected to another speaker set connected via 3.5mm-3.5mm audio.Now, the music is played on all but the Bose Soundtouch 20 loses connection constantly where the others don't.Via the Bose App, the music is seamless bar a few occasions where it has dropped out but I "think" that's due to my broadband....Sound quality and volume is more than enough for a kitchen, lounge or even garden of a standard sized 3 bed house. If this had a stronger wifi set up, I would have rated 5*

A great piece of kit, fantastic sound, radio stations are fab however when hooked up to Spotify premium, the unit comes to life, a great buy, got it in sale too, highly recommend

Got this for my wife for christmas, sound is great. Had a nightmare getting it to sync with my wifi, superfast broadband while 3 feet from the router. After a couple of hours it finally picked it up. Recognises my iTunes library, but will not play any of my music library. Been using it with spotify and it has been working a treat with that. Now totally dead and will not charge up. Hence the 2 stars for the sound only, not worth the money and totally unreliable. Got a few Bose products and was expecting better, will be my last Bose purchase.

The sound quality is excellent, the set up is not. You cannot use your music stored on your iphone and stream through the Bose App, you have to download on a PC. This still didn't work for me. Nor does it connect with the iphone through wi-fi. I had to go to John Lewis to ask their advice and they recommended air transfer. This works, most of the time.

What can i say i'm blown away with how good this speaker sounds. Whilst shopping for a wireless speaker i read a couple of reviews saying the soundtouch wasn't a balanced speaker and the bass was too heavy . I can confirm the default speaker setting is set with the bass set to max which is too much, but this can be turned down on the system setting. Its an amazing sound from a smallish speaker. I tested against the Sonos play 5 and 3 and theres no competition, the bose walks it.
