I Didn't Expect It To Work, But It Has Been Very Effective
Let me start off by saying that I am always very skeptical of claims made by supplements. I have taken prescription for anxiety for years, but I am tired of the side effects and wanted a natural alternative. I approached this purchase of Kava6 with the assumption that it would not work. However, I did some research and found that the Mayo Clinic did a large, peer-reviewed study of kava and found that it was much more effective for relieving anxiety than the placebo. All the research was based on a standardized extract, and that's what I bought. Much to my surprise, I have found this to be amazingly effective. I have completely stopped taking my prescription and use the kava standardized extract every morning before work. If I have any negative observation, it is that it is a little difficult to measure as the consistency is somewhat thick and sticky. I suggest using one of the plastic measuring spoons that come with children's cough syrup, as they have milliliters marked and are much better than trying to count out 24 drops from the bottle's dropper. The taste takes some getting used to, but these minor problems are far outweighed by the fact that I have found an effective, natural alternative to my prescription medicine. I already ordered a second bottle. I rarely review anything I buy on Amazon, but I think its worth it if it helps someone else in my situation.

Surprisingly Good for a Kava tincture on Amazon.
This product is really handy and surprised me at how good it is for a product not purchased directly from a certified supplier.I’ve tried both noble instand kava and the kind you strain from a sertified java supplier from New Zealand, and so I know what to expect. And I have to say, this product does work.I’ll run through the positives and few negatives to help give you an idea of what to expect from this product.First of all, it is really potent, it says on the box that there’s 50mg of kavalactones per 1ml which feels about right. However the bottle contains 30ml and the instructions says to take 1ml a day.For myself this didn’t feel enough and I’d take 4ml some days to get a better feeling. The first day I got it, I used nearly 8 or 10ml.So if you’re going to purchase this, you would be better to buy yourself 3, maybe even 4 or 5 bottles as you’ll find that it doesn’t last long. The price is fair I’d say, they’ve used vegetable glycerin oil and pressed it through kava root powder (I believe) to get a full spectrum potent extract tincture. And so it is going to cost more than buying kava root powder directly from a supplier. It tastes quite nice as well as apposed to making kava tea and it definitely numbs your tongue and mouth! This is so much more convenient than having to brew your own kava as it only takes a minute to take some, but it is more expensive in the long run as can be expected. You’ll probably want to buy a proper medicine syringe for taking a few ml as well because the dropper isn’t very practical. In future I’m probably going to stick to this product as it is far more convenient, you get less of a sickly feeling, it tastes nice, your house won’t stink of kava from brewing it the traditional way.I’m really happy with this.Just bear in mind that 1 bottle won’t last long so if you buy 1 and like it,you’re better buy at least 3 in future and try to pace yourself with it and make it last longer.I hope this review helps.

Great kava product - really potent - but SO STICKY.
This is by far the most potent liquid kava extract I've found. It doesn't do that much for me, but I'm coming off years of prescribed benzos, so it's pretty hard for anything to help very much. It was clear that this extract was more effective and stronger than anything else I tried. It also doesn't taste that bad to me. I drink kava in milk, which for some reason no one else seems to do, and I don't generally find the flavor unpleasant even when it's very strong. This is a 4-star review rather than a 5-star one because this extract is ***unbelievably*** messy. It's extremely thick, coating the outside of the dropper so thickly that it's hard to see what's inside it, and it's hard to get the dropper back into the bottle without scraping the extract off onto the neck. (And it's too expensive to waste like that.) I would rather have a 2-oz bottle of a half-as-potent extract that I used twice as much of (same effect, more volume) just to make it easier to handle. I ended up getting capsules of the powdered extract made by the same people (still called Kava-6), opening them into a cup and dissolving the powder in warm (not hot) liquid. But if you're willing to cope with the thick stickiness of this liquid extract, it's a really good product.

This kava-kava does not work
I've tried other kava drops... This does not compare to any of them. I even doubled the dosage just to make sure and nothing was felt. If you are familiar with what you were supposed to feel, I promise you you will not feel anything with this product.

Really works, but not as expected
Hi,I've been recently looking for an alternative to alcohol as I've been trying to cut back on putting too much toxins in my body. I only drink for social occasions and just to let loose a bit. Doing drugs or smoking is totally a no no for me.I recently came across kava as a possible alternative and decided to give this product a shot.Upon trying my first dose of it (7-8 drops) I did notice my mouth started to get numb as everyone states and it stayed that way for maybe half hour. It didn't take long for the effects of the kava to start kicking in - I'd say about as quick as it would to get an alcoholic buzz. However, instead of getting a "feel good" or "high", I noticed quite the opposite! You don't get the pep or social relaxation from this as you would with a nice alcoholic buzz. Instead this stuff will CHILL YOU OUT!I started to feel as if all I wanted to do was just kick back and eventually fall asleep. I noticed that my coordination was off and I felt as if everything was sorta in slow motion, almost like a psychedelic or "melting" sensation.I read somewhere on the web that the effects would typically last 3-4 hours. However, luckily it only lasted me an hour and a half at the most before it finally leveled off, with no ill-effects.Overall, this stuff DOES work, but just not for what I was personally looking for.I could see myself using this to relax myself after a long day or maybe if I needed help falling asleep, but not for anything else!I think to get the desired effects you would have to try the actual kava tea and certain strains of it. The drops, such as this product, doesn't really hit on the key effects you are looking for.
