Used this cushion non stop for the first weeks post thumb surgery. Let me sleep like a baby with my right hand elevated. Worth every penny.

I recently suffered a nasty fracture to my radius on my right (dominant) hand that required surgery. I was in excruciating pain and keeping the arm in an upright position helped. This pillow keeps your arm in that position even when sleeping and if you toss and turn like I do it keeps you from rolling over onto the break which would have been especially bad when I was in a one sided splint for the fist couple weeks after the operation. The sizing is adequate even for this six foot two human with large muscular arms. I am now in a hard fiberglass cast so I don't use this as often now. The doctor said I'm healing very well for the severity of the break (my radius was in pieces) which I attribute to the skill of my surgeon, lots of milk and a determination to heal and keeping my arm in a good position. I'm glad I purchased this product but I feel like it was a little overpriced for what it is. However what medical device isn't?

As someone who recently had surgery on their wrist/arm, this pillow has been a life saver. It is so comfortable and allows you keep your wrist/ arm elevated without any extra effort. My only regret is I didn't order it before the surgery, so I didn't have to wait for it to arrive after.The only negative is that it seems to attract long and pet fur like a magnet, but the payoff out ways the negative.

I had major reconstructive surgery on my wrist recently and this pillow was a lifesaver! Yes, it's bulky, but that's what makes it stable. I kept it on my arm 24 hours a day for the first five days to keep my fingers poined towards the ceiling. I would hug it to my chest to walk around and prop it next to me on the sofa. Yes, it's cheaply constructed for the price. Having read the negative reviews, I proactively superglued the gaps in the front flap. I also added packing tape to the barrel to make it easier to slide my arm in. I showed it to the surgical team and they've started recommending it to other patients. As for my pain level after surgery, the worst was just for the first few hours after the bier block wore off, then again for a few hours the following evening. I'm convinced this pillow made the difference to spare me a torturous recovery.
