A light grade therapeutic oil
This oil worked great as a carrier oil for essential oils. The oil is light and mixes well with essential oils. The oil feels light on the skin and does not feel overly greasy or heavy.

Very Beneficial
I have been using this on my hair for a while now and found that it's been really helpful with moisturizing it. The hair oil does dry pretty quickly and doesn't leave a lasting residue or film on the hair. I like how smooth it goes on. It doesn't have a stinky odor and is naturally sourced. Highly recommended.

Lovely oil, shame about the dropper
This is pure, cold pressed Marula oil from Africa. Its one of the latest beauty oils to hit the markets and I am very pleased to have the opportunity to try it out. It's supposed to be highly beneficial to skin and hair and is 100% natural. As I have never used this oil before I have no comparison. The oil arrived boxed with a screw top and the plastic dropper separate.Theres no scent at all and the oil is a very pale, light liquid.First of all I tried a few drops on the back of my hand and found it easy to smooth and spread over the skin, and yet it absorbed almost immediately, leaving hardly any slippery feeling, but immediately having a brightening effect. On my face it has the same effect when used on freshly clean skin. I had no trouble using it around my eyes and it didn't cause any irritation. Just the same smooth, brightening and hydrating effect as on my hands, no heavy, oily residue. I don't use foundation or powder, but if I did I would still use the oil first as a prep. I do have good skin that's starting to show signs of ageing and I'm not sure that you could use foundation on top of Marula oil if you have oily skin.I used it on top of serum - it was fine with no weird effect from combining the two and I also tried mixing a few drops with 2 different moisturisers that I use and it just seemed to improve them, helping them to spread and absorb into my skin. There are some very expensive Marula oils available so I don't know how well this one stacks up against them, but as far as my first experience of using it I am very impressed and will definitely continue to use it as a skin moisturiser. I haven't tried it on my hair yet.So the down side - I absolutely hate the bottle's dropper. You have to shake the bottle quite hard to get a couple of drops out and it would be much better if it had a pipette, so for me this loses a star. The product itself though I am in love with!

not terrible
The actual quality of this oil isn't bad at all. The price point is a bit on the higher side, I have seen other bottles (2oz size) that sell for $12 where this one is 0.5 oz and at the time of this review was listed for $9.99. I didn't have any breakouts (which is good since this oils is good for stopping breakouts!) or rashes from use. There isn't an eyedropper style dispenser with this only the plastic drip insert. Great since a little goes a long way.

Not for use in a diffuser, but for use as a skin care product
When I ordered the Greenwood Essential Pure Marula Oil I thought I was getting an aromatherapy essential oil for my diffuser, but when it arrived and I opened it, there was very little aroma from the marula oil. There were also no instructions or suggestions on how to use it.I hadn't researched it before I ordered it, I was just pleased to get an essential oil to review in a fragrance I didn't already have. Doing some hindsight research on the internet, I realised that marula oil is not sought-after for its fragrance, but for its use as a skin care product because it is high in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and amino acids. In accordance with what I read on-line, I've tried a few drops directly on my skin and my hair and also added a few drops to my moisturiser. The direct application is a straightforward rub a few drops of oil into your hands and apply to face and/or hair. There is a little plastic device that you insert into the bottle to extract the oil a few drops at a time. It does feel soft on the skin, but I haven't used it for long enough to determine if it's better than my usual moisturiser or produces noticeable benefits.I am not familiar with this oil so I can't say how the price and quality compares with other manufacturers, but to me, it is expensive for a bottle with a cheap plastic cap and dropper. It is certainly expensive compared with the essential oils I buy for my diffuser.
