Great first Christmas gift for a new baby…
This is a sweet little board book, that would perfect for small hands. It’s a nice early introduction to colours, animals and counting. It is easy to hold and turn the pages, the colours are very bright. The pages contain scenes that could help build familiarity with surroundings like the park and food. It doesn’t use ‘real’ colours or images, the animals are a cute representation but still recognisable for example the sky is pink, yellow & orange. This copy was sent to me by the publisher Bonnier.

A Lovely Gift
This is one of those lovely books that will grow with a child. The tabs make it very easy for smaller babies and toddlers alike to turn the pages. My little one is a few months old and he enjoyed looking at the colours and the bright images. As he gets older there are different things to look at and talk about on the pages, so it's one that we will enjoy for many years to come. It's also nice that it's a book that matches with the classic teething toy, another way to look and talk about the different pictures.

11 month old loves Sophie, but neither of us were impressed by this book!
The book felt like a lazy add on to a remarkably popular baby toy
