Great until it broke after about a year of use. Easy to put up, but once it breaks it’s pretty flimsy and useless. Easy to store, and keeps heat out pretty well. You get what you pay for.

Perfect fit for my USV Toyota

I admit it; I was skeptical. I've tried a number of sun shades over the years, of various styles and price points. They were all either too large, too small, wouldn't stay unfolded, wouldn't stay folded (or were impossible to re-fold once they were deployed), or took up the entire back seat when they weren't in use.No such problems with this one. If you can open an umbrella, you can deploy this sun screen. It was advertised as fitting my car, and it fits it like it was standard equipment. The top edge is clearly labeled, and extends above the windshield only just enough to be held in place by the visors without bowing or rumpling the sunscreen or leaving the visor hanging down to hit my head on when entering the car. It completely covers the entire area of the windshield, and I am convinced that the car was noticeably cooler than it would have been with my previous item. It collapses quickly, smoothly, and efficiently and takes up no more storage space than a folding mini-umbrella.If they made a similar product that could be easily used in the back window, I would buy it without hesitation.

The item broke after a month.

On first taking it out of the packaging, this is a nightmare to pry open because the reflective surface sticks tightly to itself after packing, and required a lot of peeling to get it open the first time. Peel the sections apart rather than trying to force it open with the slider the first time. But this seems to be simply a first-time situation.Once you've initially opened it up, it expands and collapses easily. Be careful of your mirror. I found it best to expand it and then slide it into position on my vehicle due to the shape of my windshield and placement of my mirror meaning I had to take a little care that the struts ended up in the right shape. It sounds more complicated in attempting to explain it than it actually is to do it. And the closer your windshield is to the size and shape of the umbrella, the less trouble it should be. Mine is a little bit shorter vertically and more angled than ideal. But it still only takes a few seconds to put in place once you understand how the shapes match up.When collapsing it after a hot day, be careful when wrapping your hands around the fabric parts as the metal struts can be hot. Not dangerously so from what I've experienced, but still enough that your fingers may feel it.Overall I'm very pleased with it and it definitely makes a noticeable reduction in the temperature inside.
