Effortless Dual PC Control and More with the AV Access KVM
This AV Access KVM switch is a fantastic addition to my home office setup! It works exactly as expected, and the build quality feels excellent, promising long-term performance. Connecting my two PCs is a breeze thanks to the 2 HDMI and 1 USB-B ports on each end, making switching between them seamless – something I'm already enjoying immensely.I appreciate the inclusion of multiple USB ports: three USB 3.0 and one USB 1.1. This allows me to effortlessly connect all my essential peripherals, including my wireless keyboard and mouse, as well as external USB drives, without any hiccups.Unlike other switches I've used, this one thoughtfully includes a 3.5mm audio port. Finally, I can say goodbye to long headset cables and comfortably enjoy gaming and music. The switch itself feels robust and well-constructed, with its sturdy grey metal body adding a touch of reliability to my workspace. A particularly clever design feature is the locked power cord connector, which effectively prevents accidental power disconnections – a truly amazing detail.Overall, this KVM switch has been perfect for my needs, and I wholeheartedly recommend the AV Access KVM switch to anyone looking for a reliable and feature-rich solution.

It works!!!
I have gone though 7-9 KVM switches for my home office in past 10+ years or so and this is the first KVM switch that pretty much worked flawlessly straight out of the box.The KVM switch I have been using (PWAV) stopped working when I got Lenovo X1 Carbon laptop with USB-C dock. It was having issues with USB to a point I could no longer use my keyboard and mouse while connected to the KVM switch.I decided to try AV Access a try as I got tired of manually switching input on my monitor while moving my USB dungle for my keyboard and mouse around when I wanted to switch between two systems.Next day delivery was also another reason I picked this KVM and I am glad I did.The only issue I had while setting up was this device didn't like one of my HDMI cable. Once I swapped out that HDMI cable, it worked. Switched between two devices multiple times and it worked without any issues. I am not a gamer so I cannot comment on 4k or 2k performance but it works great in 1080p.Absolutely no issues with Teams calls and watching YouTube videos. Why not 5 stars?1. I wish there is at least one USB-A port on the back of the device for better cable management. And it would be nice if the Audio-out port is also on the back of the device.2. Not sure what this device didn't like one of my HDMI cable. Tested this HDMI cable for other things and it works. It just doesn't like to work with this KVM switch. Strange. In conclusion, I have used/tried may different KVM switches and all had some flaws or took a lot of trial and error to get it to work (if it ever worked). This one works straight out of the box. I am very happy with this product and I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a reliable KVM switch.

Finally working - note cabling issue
Finally got my KVM fully working today. I’ve had this KVM over 2 years working with some older monitors (was using VGA monitors and some pigtails). I never could get my work laptop working with the 2nd monitor - personal laptop worked great with both monitors.I recently changed jobs and therefore changed laptops and got new monitors. So i decided to spend some time trying to get it all setup properly and working. My new monitors came with just DP cables but the KVM has HDMI outputs. I had some HDMI-to-DP cables that I used but my monitors wouldn’t recognize any inputs. However, with the help of Johnny from the AV Access website chat, I tried using just a regular HDMI cables to the monitors and it started working! Looking forward to having the full dual-monitor functionality of the KVM finally working! But over the last 2 years, the KVM has been very reliable.

Cannot recommend - Monitor switching failed after 6 months if use.
This product seems well made and comes with all the necessary cabling. It worked fine initially, but by the 3 month mark, it was apparent the product reliability wasn't there. First the USB A ports started to flake out, causing the USB headset used for audio calls to get disconnected. (Of course, audio calls are work-only events.) Then the HDMI side started causing one or of the dual monitors to go blank at random times. As Murphy's law would dictate, this would always happen on the side of the switch used for the work laptop. I've given up on this device, and have replaced it with a bi-directional USB C 3.2 2 into 1 (also handles 1 into 2) switch to drive the monitors, and a 2 input USB A switching hub for the kbd., mouse, and headset. The USB C to dual HDMI outputs is handled by 1 of the 2 adapters I had already used between the 2 laptops and the HDMI sides of AV Access switch in the original setup. Cost of the replacement setup, Under $60 complete. Cost of the AV Access switch, $140 and it failed after 6 months. You decide where the value is there.
