They are plastic, but they are great for little kids.

Perfect for Beach!
These are great for kids but I do wish they were a tad taller/longer in size. Overall it was a good purchase!

Ok. Showing wear quickly.
They seem to be overall decent quality and cute colors. They've held up to several uses at the beach however the plastic shovel is already showing a lot of texture and damage from digging in the sand (and from a 3 and 4 year old so hardly anything too extreme). I doubt they will last too long.
