Awesome shave soap!!!!
I just started to shave with a DE razor recently, and I have been looking for a shave soap to go with my new shaving routine. After being somewhat disappointed with the first shave soap I tried, I decided to try the green Proraso shave soap. The first time I used it, I loved it. It was easy to lather. It smells great. I love the cooling sensation from the menthol. It protects my face great during my shave. You get quite a good amount of shave soap for the price you pay as well. The bowl it comes with is great; it’s easy to hold while loading your brush and is the perfect size. I’m hooked on this shave soap.

An exceptionally quality Barber's Soap
I am about a year into using barber soap and a safety razor, and my previous soap was good but nothing compared to this one. The product smells very nice, especially when applied with warm water but the most favorable quality is the lather the soap makes. The soap is softer than most that I've had and maybe got a little melted on its way to to me, but if it did go from Italy to the States I completely understand. That exact quality lets your shave brush work the soap to get the lather you want and then the components inside make it a much much more nice soap for your skin.I have had sensitive skin for quite some time and safety razor shaving with bar soap has been my lifesaver. I'm still learning but the soap and its agents allow smooth and close cuts that refresh your skin. So much so that I even felt confident trying to shave against the grain (this was a mistake, do not do that)The bright red cherry on top is that this comes in its own container so you don't need a mug or bowl. This is definitely the soap I would start with as it's a great shave and good value.

Great lather and scent
Ever since starting down the safety razor rabbit hole, I decided if I was going to do it right, I needed to go old school brush and soap. The choices though were a little overwhelming so ultimately when I did decide upon the Perfecto badger brush, I just went with the suggested Proraso soap without really doing any homework. As soon as I started working up a lather, I thought it smelled like Italy. I thought that a bit crazy until I actually looked at the packaging and realized it's made in Italy. After a few trips to the country, I must have smelled this scent at some point and this, like other unique scents, brings me right back. So, it's a great scent to start the day.It just takes a few swirls of the brush to get a good lather for my morning shave. I'm now using it to shave my head as well since it's superior to any other shaving creams. Because it doesn't take much to get a good lather, I suspect this will last quite a while. The soap is also pretty gentle on my skin. I've not had any reaction and it helps with the single blade in achieving a close shave without irritation.

Excellent shave, becomes less silky over time
There's nothing quite like cracking open a new tub of Proraso. The shaving soap makes a nice creamy lather that provides a great shave with a fresh scent. The container itself can be used as a shaving cup so as long as you have a shaving brush and razor you're good to go. It might not look it but a tub of Proraso lasts a long time - several months when used daily, in fact - so it's a luxurious AND cost effective shave. The only negative - and I'm nitpicking here - is that as you get towards the bottom of the tub it tends to get a little less creamy and luxurious, albeit still providing a good shave. Great shave and great value for money!

Surprised.
I have always used a brush, mug and butterfly razor and as for soap, it didn’t matter to me if it was bar soap or so called shaving soap. I bought this just to try it out and I can honestly say that this is excellent shaving soap. It does make a Very rich lather and has a good smell.P. S. Try some Pears Translucent Bar Soap using a brush. Incredible smoothness for a shave. Dollar tree has it for a buck a bar.

Barber shop quality shave cream
It is a great quality shave cream that lathers well using a shave brush. The tub is conveniently shaped to hold while whipping up the lather. What I like most is the clean, refreshing scent and feel on your skin. I don't like creams containing lotions that make your face feel greasy. I like a thick lather that washes clean the way Proraso does when shaving. After loading my brush with lather, I use circular motions to brush it on my face followed by straight strokes which creates a nice thick lather for shaving. When finished shaving, I can easily rinse my face clean leaving a refreshing feeling.

Super smooth shave
I love this shaving soap. Paired with a decent brush you can get an excellent lather leading to a super smooth shave. And it lasts! And, best of all, you can take it in your carry on bag when flying without putting in in the little ziplock bag!

Very nice and a little goes a long way.
My first shave soap so I have nothing to compare it to but this stuff is great. Shave brushes and DE safety razors in general are great and I wish I used them sooner. I take maybe a fingernail-sized amount, apply a small bit of water as needed, lather it up with my brush and have an easily-applicable and near-unlimited amount of shave soap. Every stroke of the razor can be replaced with more of this stuff just by quickly dabbing my face. So much nicer and cleaner than having to set my razor down and squeeze a bottle and apply shaving cream with my hands. Also not as thick as something like Cremo that requires lots of razor rinses. Very soothing and cooling sensation as well.
