Ziyad Gourmet Red Lentils, Superfood, Ancient Grains, No Additives, No Preservatives, Great Source of Protein, 16 oz

I have found red lentils in 2 local markets in the bulk section for $2.99/lb. Nothing special about these lentils except that I was able to get them delivered. Price was more than 3 times elsewhere. Good thing is that I made delirious soup. Will not buy it again here.

I just made a recipe for red lentil soup (using Ziyad Red Lentils) and it was terrific, delicious and satisfying. I am planning on purchasing more of these lentils for use in additional recipes. They are a wonderful addition to my pantry.

These are really good - I'm not sure if I would've found or tried this brand if they weren't the only red lentils in stock, but I'm very happy they were available and satisfied my craving. No stones and great texture and flavor

These are decent red lentils. However, they cost at least twice as much as they should. I don't know if the price is higher now during COVID-19 or if it is always higher, but you can certainly by red lentils for half as much or less, at least during normal times. Still, good quality so not knocking it.

I love this product! Not only are lentils nutritious but they look and taste wonderful in a variety of dishes. I really like the Ziyad lentils, using them back in Chicago in the 70s.

I did receive the item; however, upon opening the box, I noticed a tear and red lentils all over in the corner of the box. Not certain what happened.I threw away the product due to safety concerns.I haven't tried the item, so I can make a determination in flavor and value.

Good product. Double bagged even---except it is not helpful when the original packaging has an opening and the second bag has an opening as well. Don't even know where the product went--only a tablespoon amount in the box that it was shipped in.

If you realize the behave differently that green or brown lentils, these are fine. I add them for protein to squash puree soups as well as for Indian cooking.
