Shameful
What a disappointing product from such a huge company with so much money. The so called "GX" switches, when you take a keycap off and look closely, you'll see the Kailh branding. They're very cheap, scratchy, and they're not factory lubed. The battery is only alright. It could be better but you need to have the backlight on all the time because the key legend is extremely difficult to see without them on, even during the day. I'm not a RGB person myself, so I'd much rather have double shot keycaps with white on black writing, and turn the RGB off completely to extend battery life.Speaking of lighting, it would be good, but the keycaps are distorting the light somewhat, so some parts of the letters are brighter than others. The media keys are handy, but because they're low profile behind full-height keycaps, they're always hidden and I need to lean in to see what I'm pressing. The volume wheel is poorly made, it feels plasticky and it rattles, it's worse than some of the ones on cheaper/older logitch boards. It comes with a very well made, hard case for the keyboard, as if it's supposed to redeem the keyboard itself. However, vast majority of people won't even use the case. The software adds a ton of RGB customizations, but I don't really care about the lighting, so it does nothing for me. What I did want the software to do is to let me remap keys, but the key mapping is super restricted. People have been asking for more freedom in this regard, but Logitech just openly refuses to add these features.Logitech has been making keyboards for decades, but it's clear that they haven't been keeping up with the current keyboard standards. No quality switches. No pre-lubrication. No gasket mounting. Not hot-swapable. Hard to read keycap legends. Zero thought behind their products. All marketing. Garbage. There's nothing that makes this keyboard worth the £200 price tag. You can find less known branded keyboards for £60 - £100 on Amazon that pack more keyboard enthusiast features than all the past Logitech boards combined.
