If the sprayer doesn't work ...
If the sprayer doesn't work it's not the sprayer, it's the tube in the jug, which is too long and curls up over the level of the liquid. To fix the problem put on gloves, unscrew the cap and look for the plastic lockwasher that prevents the tube from coming out of the top. Carefully work it down about six inches and also straighten out the tube below it without creasing the tube. Now put the tube in the jug and replace and tighten the cap. When you pull the trigger you should feel it priming and it should spray.The product itself works well, better than professional baits, I think because with the bait the ants usually have other sources of food, so the ants don't eat only the bait, allowing the colony to survive even if many ants are killed. This product is a residual that the ants spread around the nest often killing the colony. Using this plus bait might work even better.

Seems to be working
I have a pretty bad nest of carpenter ants in a 25 ft vaulted ceiling in my house. This area is incredibly hard to reach and I notice the ants on the ceiling and then they fall and die on the floor beneath this spot and leave wood shaving type of material on the windowsills. They crawl on my curtains, any water source they can find, the walls, and for 2 years we could not get rid of them. We have had the oak tree that touches the house professionally trimmed, 2 different pest control companies come out to treat, and each said the ceiling was too tall but they would do the best they could, and the ants never went away. Completely fed up this summer I researched a DIY product and bought this based on reviews. My husband got out a tall extension ladder, put on safety googles, gloves and sprayed the ceiling area and outside with about half the bottle. The hose on the sprayer pulls out pretty far and the spray reaches probably 15 feet. There is no strong smell, the product also dried quickly. The fact this can be used indoors and outdoors is a huge plus! The product did drip off the ceiling during drying, but I kept my dogs out of that room for 6 hours and then hand scrubbed and mopped the floor after really well. After 1 day we noticed more dead ants than ever, like the product got into the cracks and reached the nest. 1 week later, no ants crawling on the ceiling or walls! I think this product did the trick. Highly recommend!

Hose does not suction product through to the sprayer. BUT the product works. Read Complete review.
The sprayer does not suction the product through the hose no matter what you do. I read through everything and adjusted the sprayer with absolutely no success. Cannot use this poison by spreading it by hand so I had to go out and buy a universal sprayer from Lowes.The product has no scent. I wore gloves while fooling around with the sprayer and hose so I know it has no scent. I have yet to know if the actual works.Super frustrating. I will likely return both set ups as I have been looking into a professional extermination company for carpenter ants. Wonder why this company does not troubleshoot this issue based on the reviews, doesn't seem like a new problem. I even ordered this product AFTER reading the defective sprayer reviews, so if you are that person don't waste your time they have not fixed the issue.UPDATE: I used the continuous spray nozzle I had to purchase after purchasing this product. I was able to locate the ants nest with eggs and all. I sprayed them and their nest. It has eliminated the ant infestation in the damp wood of my home. (Yes I fixed the damp wood issue also)

Great Product
This is an AMAZING product! The sprayer did go bad on me; however, the company is sending me a new sprayer. I had HUGE carpenter ants infiltrate my bedroom wall from the outdoors and I was at my wits end. I found the hole those little suckers dug in my wall, and I sprayed inside the hold, and I walked along the outside wall and sprayed. NOTE: remember to remove any old wood, tree branches, etc. from the area. Carpenter ants love old wood, etc. This company (Harris) also has great customer service. I am VERY pleased with this product and would highly recommend it!

* GREAT INSECTICIDE - DANGEROUS DISPENSER !!!
*** For carpenter ants. Does not take effect immediately, but kills very thoroughly later! UNFORTUNATELY, the sprayer is a cheap piece of crap that leaks, and worse yet, siphons because there is no place to hang it about the fluid level in the bottle after installation. This forces unnecessary contact with the toxin while removing and flushing, and resealing the container each time.PROS:(1) Very effective on carpenter ants.(2) Price bearable.CONS:(1) Dangerous dispenser and container !!!TYPICAL UNREGULATED NON-HUMAN CORPORATE ITEM. Most products today are horrible, and often dangerous, because some marketing person tried to justify his job by squeezing out a penny of extra profit instead of adding quality and ensuring safety !!!

This worked excellent for carpenter ants
This worked excellent on carpenter ants. Easy to use. I did have to adjust the tube in the bottle about halfway through in order for it to continue to spray. It goes a long way and worked excellent. No more ants have been spotted.

Sprayer doesn't work
Before buying, search the reviews for the issue of the nozzle not working. There are tons. Instead of implementing some QC and fixing it, the manufacturer has put a QR code on the package to take you to a video "if" (read "when") it doesn't work. The QR takes you to an inactive webpage. I searched for the video that was supposed to have been there, read these reviews & all sorts of other info, and then tried everything else I could think of (a neighborhood handyman tried as well). Never got even a single spray out of it. Returning now.
