Bought this because I got tired of using the old mechanical timer. Really love the app and ease of installation and use. Only had to hook my pool guy up with the app and all so when he comes to service the pool he can shut it off.I would buy this again,

Instructions were clear and easy to follow.Font to smallToo many words on the instructionWi-Fi connection was flawless and fast.Timer set up was easy.The week on the timer does not start on Monday, too bad.The plastic box is too thin and brittle.No push and clip connection to connect wires.It does not appear to be water resistant, all the inner part area easy visible.No recommendation on size wires to use. I used 10 gauge.I connected a male and female plus for easy connection of pool pump and uv light.Tools I used: tester, wire stripper and cutter, male and female plug 30amp. 10g 3 wire cable 6ft x 2, crew drives flat and Phillips, drill and screw to hang box. Hang box outside the pump room and protected from water and light.shocked myself twice turning the thing on.The antenna connection already rustingthe box already rusting

For over 25 years I have used the mechanical Intermatic timer... super reliable. I had built a mechanical remote control for it using a car door actuator. When the timer finally gave up the ghost (25 years!), I decided to try the Suraielec electronic timer. There were plenty of Youtube videos showing how to switch the wiring from Intermatic to Suraielec, so that was super easy. I did have to custom build some new standoffs to make it fit in the same space as the old Intermatic, but not too hard, and nothing you couldn't find at HomeDepot. After at least a couple months of usage, it is still working, and the WiFi has been reliable. The digital timer is much more accurate the then mechanical Intermatic. For the price, it was cheaper than the Intermatic, and is much more convenient. As of my review (about 3 months), I would highly recommend it. Let's hope it lasts at least half as long as the Intermatic... which admittedly, was surprisingly long!

My old Intermatic timer wore out and started slipping. The time would be off by several hours within a day or two. I purchased this based on another review showing it would fit in the existing Intermatic enclosure. Sure enough it does. I had to do some minimal plastic trimming to make it fit right and it looks great. My Intermatic enclosure holds 2 timers, I plan to update the second timer soon. App is easy to use and not much to it. Once the schedule was set I haven't had to do anything. Love it.

Like many my old mechanical timer gave up. I was surprised to find WIFI timers were cheaper than replacing with the old mechanical ones, so I gave it a shot. There are some things I like about this unit, some I dislike.Liked:It works. After installing and turning on the power, it turned on first try.WiFi connection was pretty easy, though the app is a little clunky.Metal box with plenty of knockouts. My pool was set up with the box mounted on top of a pvc pipe. I needed a sturdy box that wouldn’t require re-running wires. I also have a salt system, so I needed at least 3 knockouts.Dislike:Inside panel is only held by a flimsy metal tab at the top. The panel was constantly falling in my way during installation. Had to remove the antenna connector and remove the panel completely to get wires inside, secure the box, and connect ground wires.Wire connections. Had several issues getting wires to remain in place in connectors. Especially the neutral where I had to place 3 wires.Inside panel part 2. Once i finally finished wiring, it was impossible to get the inside panel to stay in place. Even with the lower portion attached. My wires are not soft and flexible like in the video. They are standard copper wires used in home electrical. They are stiff. Expecting a single fragile clip to hold everything in place is just stupid. I’m going to have to figure out something to rig it in place.(See Photos)Overall, I’m happy this is working and my pool is back to functioning. However, I’m not thrilled at the lack of quality and design of this unit. It makes me concerned about the longevity.Edit / Tip: I went back to find a way to attach the inside panel. I noticed two tabs at the bottom of the panel. They are supposed to slide into slots on the sides. I attempted to adjust the panel enough to accommodate the tabs, but only managed to get one in place without pulling wires free. The panel at least is now held inside the box and not floating freely. The instructions are pretty much worthless, so it’s not immediately obvious.

The media could not be loaded. No product support what so ever i even looked up and for the number in china found it and it was just a way of leaving the a message and them getting back to you.they never contacted me. By the way this is the 3rd one i had . I even got in touch with Amazon tech support and the had no number fot them at all. I call intermatic and they help me wire the junk i have that i have now. It a few moths old and it already rusting out and this was there latest and greatest you model its garage. Bye intermatic its the only way to go period Good Luck.
