Wonderfully well rounded
After 170-miles I'm comfortable giving a solid review...Great protective long-run shoe for anyone who wants to combine lighter weight and cushioned protection. Works in many speed ranges and happily changes pace without a hitch. Some have said it's clunky and too bulky, I have not found that to bet a case. I rotate this with a pair On Cloudeclipse for long (and recovery) runs. Shoe quality:Typical Asics build quality, top notch. The -7g difference btwn (R) and (L) isn't great but otherwise they are very well put together. Comfort:Cushioned, but firm and responsive which is fairly unique for a max stack of foam like these have.

The best current all-around running shoe, period.
The original SuperBlast is my all-time favorite running shoe. This is very, very close. The only reason it doesn't overtake the original in my mind is that the bottom, softer layer of foam (I don't feel like looking up Asics' marketing terms) isn't quite as cushioning as the original. Asics used a more environmentally friendly material, but it does make the ride a tad firmer, even after the shoe is broken in. I'm nit-picking, though - this is a fantastic shoe. Good energy return, comfortable, great outer sole (slightly grippier than the original) and shockingly light. It's equally at home doing weekend long runs and speedy interval training. For a runner like me (usually 10-20 miles/week, with a handful of 10-milers, half-marathons and 5ks per year), this really could be your only running shoe.

Great Shoes
The aesthetics of this shoe are awesome – I feel like wearing it casually as well. It’s also great for running. I’ve done a few 10Ks in it, and they felt great. I’m currently training for a half marathon.Edit: I finally completed my first half marathon in this shoe, and it was amazing all the way through. The responsiveness was solid, and I didn’t feel as much fatigue afterward as I expected. No shin splints either. I’ll be increasing my pace in the next training block!

My fourth pair!
I love this shoe. Use it for just about all of my runs and even walking around. Good upper, fits true to size, decent outsole grip, very durable, very stable by design.Caveats: it is MUCH FIRMER than any other popular max cushion shoe on the market, so if you're looking for a soft easy run/recovery type of shoe you'll probably be disappointed. It is very stiff, less flexible than some plated shoes I have. There is no ground feel. It takes a long time to break in; my oldest pair has 70 miles in it and is just beginning to feel somewhat broken in. On the other hand, the firmness of the midsole means it should be a very durable shoe and indeed I've heard reports of Superblast 1 going for as much as 1000 km and still feeling firm and resilient.

Great shoe and a so so value
It’s a great shoe and maybe it needs to be broken in more but honestly I like the cumulus more. I really only saw a 2-3 second per mile difference in speed and I was really expecting more given the hype, huge stack height and price tag. People are comparing it to supershoes. It’s not. 1% or a bit more speed difference. Again it’s nice shoe and very stable for long runs and lightweight for strides and intervals. It’s just not a good value and I feel silly with the large stack height. Still an asicis loverUpdate: I guess it’s taken a couple of runs for the shoe to break in. Or maybe it was just a bad run the first time. It’s faster now. 5-7 seconds per mile and about 2 to 2 1/2% faster so I guess it’s half a plated supershoe which is quite good. So Yhea I’m happy with it and updating to 5 stars

Gives you a %25 speed boost!
I bought these shoes because they are banned from professional races, and that made me wonder if the shoes you run in can make that big of a difference , IT DOES. These shoes feel like you’re being pushed forward every step, like you have a speed boost. They are super comfortable, sturdy, and simple, no crazy designs or anything to degrade its value as a high quality shoe. I’m surprised these shoes aren’t more than $200

Runs small
Great shoe but I need a half size bigger.

Extremely light and comfort, incredible bounce
Extremely comfortable, amazingly light, excellent fit, responsive energy bounce, and my lower back felt amazing while running since I switched to these. I used to run in Adidas Ultraboost and always had some lower back discomfort for the first mile or two. With the Asics Superblast 2, it was immediate comfort since day 1. The cushioning is elite. I recommend getting half a size down from your normal sneakers.
