Great seller, fun car. 3 year old loves it.
Update: The seller contacted me and politely offered to send me a replacement car, which they did promptly. The new car drives great and does not have any of the control issues that the first one did. My son is having a great time with the new car, and I appreciate the excellent customer service. Changing my 2 Star review to 5. This RC car works great and is a lot of fun to use.Old review: Cute car, nice lights, flips and spins well, and seems solidly made. But, it has one major problem: the controls are, as my son put it, “crazy”. And not in a good, fun way. They’re crazy in a defective, totally out of control, mind of its own sort of way. It moves on its own after you’ve already released the control sticks, and frequently and randomly goes completely unresponsive (even at close range). Usually a little kick will get it moving again, but something is clearly not working as intended. Even as an adult, I can’t make it go where I want to with any degree of accuracy or control, and I suspect something inside the car or remote is damaged, and has been since we unboxed it. However, it has been fun just mashing on the sticks and letting it spin wildly out of control while my son chases it, but we were hoping it would work more like an actual remote control car that we could race around, steer, and drive.

Reliable, fun, toddler-approved
I purchased this toy for my 3-y old toddler boy that really likes cars. What I like about it is the amount of abuse that it can take. My toddler is totally not a good driver, he crashes into the wall sometimes, and just presses the same button making the car going in circles. He gets a lot of fun and that's what counts. The wheels are detachable, so if .. e.g. someone sits on the car, they will come of. Or if they are manually removed. But no issues if just using it normally.Having to take out the battery for charging seemed like a chore but I just do that at night today and in the morning we can play a bit with the car. It's like any hobby RC car and the battery will only last for a few minutes and then needs recharge, but I can't find anything better other than the super expensive cars. For the price point, this is perfect. Kid gets bored after 15 minutes anyways and wants to do something else.Quality is ok, gets the job done, and is entertaining enough.

Lots of fun, confusing lights
Bought this to give our cats something to chase. It does a good job of scrambling over small obstacles and moves just fast enough to be fun in the house. Controls are like a skid steer loader - independent forward and reverse controls for each side. The joysticks are simple on/off - not proportional - so control is slightly fussy but fun to play with. Bumping into things doesn't seem to hurt it, and while It may be challenging to control at times it's hard to stop. The battery seemed lost in the large battery comartment, and 400 mAh isn't a lot... NiMH AAA's are typically 700 mAh plus - but it lasted about 30 minutes pulsing on and off, mostly running one motor at a time. The biggest frustration for me was the light colors which seemed backwards. This car has red and blue lights, and the when the red lights were on top they were the *front* of the car. It would be easier to operate if blue (like headlights) faced the front when on top, and red faced rear (like taillights) when on top. I took the car apart to swap the lights and that made it more intuitive to drive.

It did it's job perfectly
Bought this for a very active small dog to chase. My bf had surgery and couldn't get around much when his roommate took off to a whole other country for a fling with a woman he met a online. Leaving my fb to care for his dogs. One was still of puppy age and very hyper. So one night my bf was telling me his frustration over this puppy. An hour and multiple shots of whiskey later, I made this impulse purchase in hopes it would help.Turns out to be my best, possible only good, drunken decision I've ever made. The dog loved to chase it but it didn't have little parts to worry about plus it was just fast enough that he couldn't get it anyway. The dog was calmer, the bf was happier. Overall, great purchase

Fun durable toy/ poor design on battery charging
The battery for the car is rechargeable however it is a poor design. You have to unscrew the cover and disconnect the battery then hook it up to a charger for 4-6 hours for only 8-12 minutes of play time. Other than that it is really cool for kids and my dog loves it just wish it was easier to charge.

Really 2.5 Stars
If there were an option for 2.5 stars, that's what I would have chosen. What the car can do--it's tricks, it's mobility, it's speed, it's overall fun-factor--is worthy of near 5 stars in my opinion. The main problem is that the battery life is terrible. It runs for about 10 minutes, then it's time to charge it for a couple of hours again. Charging it is a bit of a pain, as you have to take the battery out to charge it, rather than having a port on the car itself to plug in.In the end, my kids love playing with it--they just don't get to play with it very much because it's always charging.

I am a happy camper, and Kat likes it, kind of
Overall, the car acts and works as written. Fun to watch, a little hard to make it go where you want, as it is like a tank with only two switches. One switch for each side. Making the car adjust one side or the other if they encounter anything that can make it bounce. Car seems to have a propensity for wanting to hop, jump and spin. Part of the fun, and the cat does not leave the room like when I turn on the quad. (little, little) Like the saucer, I purchased the car for the cat to play with. Kat will sit next to it, and let it bump her tail. She is not a bit afraid of the car. Outside she watches it, but views the car more like, 'someone who lives here', instead of a toy. She loves to watch it spin and jump, but has not decided to go chase it. She will follow it, at a distance.
